We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join our team at Gloucestershire County Council. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our highways and transportation systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver traffic engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
- Develop and implement sustainable travel solutions that prioritize road safety and environmental sustainability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address transportation needs, ensuring effective project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage and supervise teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions, adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Proven experience in traffic engineering and highway design, with a strong understanding of sustainable travel principles and environmental impact.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other technical design software, with experience in producing contract documents and working with contractors.
