Senior Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team at Futura Design. As a key member of our OEM Client's team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative retail products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design systems and components for new and updated accessory projects, considering function, cost, manufacture, assembly, and quality.
  • Produce high-quality 3D CAD models using Creo and 2D engineering drawings to ASME Y14.5.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Strategic Sourcing, Quality Assurance, and OE Product Development.
  • Liaise with internal departments and outside suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage your own time and workload effectively, creating and managing timing plans for your areas of responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1) with proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably Pro-engineer / CREO.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience designing for manufacture and showing a good knowledge of processes, such as castings, forgings, sheet metal, and injection mouldings.
  • Experience of creating and releasing 2D technical drawings to ASME Y14.5 and understanding of geometric tolerances.
  • Good understanding of motorcycle chassis layout and construction, with practical experience of vehicle maintenance and preparation advantageous.
  • IMechE membership desirable.
