Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer, ensuring load security using ratchet straps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering loads throughout the UK, both full and groupage loads.
  • Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
  • Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customers' expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
