Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Risk-Led Assurance Reviews: Oversee the review process to ensure that all risk-related activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Critical Business Calculations: Verify the accuracy and reliability of calculations within Pricing, Reserving, and Capital Modelling to ensure that they align with company strategy and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide Technical Advice: Offer expert guidance to third-party suppliers of actuarial software solutions and technical advice to support the development of actuarial models.
  • Support Senior Management Decision-Making: Provide critical analysis and recommendations to inform senior management decisions related to risk management and actuarial matters.
  • Compliance with Regulatory Requirements: Ensure that all actuarial work and risk-related activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations, such as Solvency II.
  • Lead and Develop Junior Actuarial Staff: Mentor and guide junior actuarial staff to develop their skills and expertise in risk management and actuarial modelling.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Actuary with experience in the General Insurance sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of actuarial techniques, including General Insurance Pricing, Reserving, and Capital Modelling.
