Job Summary:

VIPU Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team in the Nuclear Industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing PLC and SCADA systems using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 PLCs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PLC and SCADA systems tailored to customer requirements
  • Program control systems using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 PLCs and IEC Structured Text
  • Configure SCADA systems based on original and provided designs
  • Participate in all phases of the software and systems life cycle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain design documentation and test specifications
  • Implement unit testing practices and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Work effectively in an Agile environment and utilize version control systems, specifically Git
  • Travel and work on-site as needed, with a valid driving license
  • Meet the eligibility criteria for Security Clearance

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND in Engineering/Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience in the industry
  • Proficiency in programming Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 PLCs using IEC Structured Text
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within mixed client/contractor teams
  • Demonstrated experience in creating design documentation and test specifications
  • Knowledge of Unit testing practices
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with version control systems, specifically Git
  • Open to travel and working on-site as needed
  • Valid driving license
  • Eligible for Security Clearance
  • Desirable skills: PLC system design, coding, testing and commissioning; SCADA system design, configuration and commissioning; prior experience working in the Nuclear Industry
