About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team of 12 accounts professionals. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of SME and limited company clients, overseeing the preparation of accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT returns, and assisting clients with their queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of SME and limited company clients, including overseeing the preparation of accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT returns.
  • Assist clients with their queries and provide support as needed.
  • Prepare accounts for review by the managing partner.
  • Oversee junior members of the team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Prepare basic personal and corporate tax computations/returns.

Requirements

  • Qualified, QBE, or finalist accountant in ACCA or ACA.
  • Minimum of 4 years previous practice experience, with experience working on statutory accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT.
  • Prior experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
