About The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Group Support Volunteer. As a Group Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting people affected by dementia to engage in activities and socialise with others in a group setting.

Your key responsibilities will include welcoming and talking to people affected by dementia to help them feel comfortable and ensuring they are offered refreshments. You will also assist with setting up and tidying away at the end of the group.

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by dementia and their families. You will be part of a supportive and inclusive environment, working alongside our experienced team to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and engage with people affected by dementia in a group setting
  • Assist with setting up and tidying away at the end of the group
  • Ensure people affected by dementia are offered refreshments
  • Support people with dementia to participate in activities

Requirements:

  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of people affected by dementia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
