Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain all vehicles, trailers, and workshop equipment to company/legal standards to ensure maximum operational availability for the Transport Department.
- Ensure that the care and condition of all Company equipment is maintained and report all defects/damages.
- Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy.
Daily Duties:
- Inspect, service, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles, including 7.5t trucks, tractor units, and trailers.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections, ensuring they meet company and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with the Transport Department to ensure maximum operational availability.
Requirements:
- Completed an HGV/LGV apprenticeship.
- Own tools.
- Full UK driving license.
- Class 1 license beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience in reversing and moving vehicles into the workshop desirable but training will be given.

- Competitive hourly rate up to £25.00 per hour.
- Overtime paid at time and a half.
