Job Title: Field Service Engineer - Mechanical/Electrical Specialist

Job Summary: Pertemps TM is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, conducting service, maintenance, and repair work on mechanical and electrical systems, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve team goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Team Work: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Personal Effectiveness: Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Service, Maintenance, and Repairs: Conduct service, maintenance, and repair work on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Technical Competence: Apply technical knowledge and expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to varying work schedules and travel requirements to meet business needs.
  • Administration: Complete necessary administrative tasks accurately and on time to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience or willingness to work as a Field Service Engineer.
  • Full UK driver's license.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness and availability for extensive travel across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

Additional Information: This role requires extensive travel, staying away potentially 4 nights a week, in some instances longer. Preferred candidates will have extensive mechanical or electrical knowledge and experience as a Field Service Engineer in the print, packaging, pharmaceutical, or food industry.
