Job Title: Social Worker Through Care 14+

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our 14+ Through Care Team, supporting Children Looked After during their adolescence and into adulthood.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with young people, parents/carers, and professionals to ensure wellbeing, stability, educational achievement, safety, and positive outcomes.

As a key member of our team, you will provide a social work service to young people, identifying risk issues and ensuring safeguarding measures are in place to minimize risk.

About You:
  • A passion for supporting disadvantaged young people to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Strong assessment and written skills, with the ability to engage with and build rapport with adolescents who may display challenging behavior.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with a range of professionals and agencies.
  • A flexible approach to working, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and develop skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide a social work service to young people, ensuring their safety and enabling them to achieve their full potential.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to foster good working relationships and ensure effective team working.
  • To identify risk issues and ensure safeguarding measures are in place to minimize risk.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS Check and the ability to work in a negotiable location within Powys.
