In response to our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a motivated Assistant Geospatial Surveyor to become a vital part of our multidisciplinary consultancy in Leeds. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility in their role, providing essential support to our teams nationwide as project demands arise, while ensuring the integrity of data delivered to our clients.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to embark on their professional journey or to advance their careers. You will gain invaluable on-the-job training while engaging in prestigious projects that span large residential, industrial, and commercial developments, with contract values exceeding £30 million, as well as smaller initiatives. You will collaborate with a diverse range of clients, including major retail corporations, local authorities, educational institutions, contractors, and developers, with the potential to participate in exciting international projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting surveyors in data collection utilizing cutting-edge robotic total stations and GNSS technology.
- Assisting in the execution of projects to produce 2D/3D topographical surveys through N4cE software.
- Aiding surveyors with specialized laser scanning tools, including the Leica P40, Leica RTC360, NavVis VLX, and Leica BLK2GO.
- Analyzing data through plans, maps, charts, and software such as AutoCAD and GIS applications.
- Creating 2D and 3D survey drawings/models using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Compiling and drafting reports.
Required Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in a related role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with survey equipment (total stations, laser scanners, etc.) is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Cyclone software is a plus but not essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- A valid clean driving license is required.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
