Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Disability North. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to a client with complex needs, including mobility issues, memory loss, and chronic health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany the client to medical appointments and ensure they take their medication as prescribed.
- Support the client with childcare needs, including accompanying them to local parks and activities, and assisting with getting the children ready for school on difficult days.
- Perform domestic tasks, such as laundry and household chores.
- Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, showering, and hair care.
Requirements:
- Experience working with clients with complex needs and chronic health conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
