Commercial Quantity Surveyor

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a Commercial Quantity Surveyor to join our team at UK Power Networks. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a crucial role in providing quantity surveying support to our business across specified long-term contracts and several competitively tendered client projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all commercial matters for contracts and projects, including contract set-up, management, pricing, service delivery, scope change, and dispute resolution.
- Support a commercial project team in the management of clients and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with UKPN guidelines and procedures.
- Lead commercial activity on a portfolio of nominated contracts and client construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve contract issues and disputes, and provide expert advice on contract interpretation and application.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize profit delivery and ensure contract requirements are met.
- Significant quantity surveying experience and business acumen, with a track record of managing complex, high-value contracts.
- Experience leading commercial activity in a competitive, client-led construction project management environment.
- Professional qualification and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, ICES, or other relevant Chartered Institute would be an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with service providers and internal stakeholders.
