Position: Vehicle Tail Lift Technician

Main Responsibilities:

As a Vehicle Tail Lift Technician, your primary duties will include:

  • Installation and assembly of tail lifts on vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Interpreting and comprehending technical drawings.
  • Implementing drawing specifications during the fitting process, including cut-outs and mounting positions for ancillary components.
  • Accurately positioning tail lifts during installation.
  • Conducting electrical wiring setups.
  • Establishing hydraulic connections.
  • Performing tests on tail lifts to ensure functionality.
  • Documenting test outcomes for certification purposes.
  • Engaging in troubleshooting, fault detection, and resolution.
  • Installing and connecting auxiliary lighting systems.
  • Adhering to safe working practices.
  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the workspace.

We are seeking a Vehicle Tail Lift Technician with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Proficient mechanical fitting knowledge within an engineering or commercial vehicle context.
  • Experience in fitting tail lifts from brands such as DEL, DHollandia, or Palfinger.
  • Familiarity with various types of tail lifts, including column, cantilever, and tuckaway models.
  • Safe and effective handling of tools.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic systems.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.

Compensation:

Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £32,000, with overtime paid at time and a half.

Standard working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with scheduled breaks.
