About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our catering team as a Catering Assistant. As part of our busy catering service, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in food service, setting up and clearing of dining areas, washing up and cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service to children and staff
  • Preparing and serving food in a safe and hygienic manner
  • Setting up and clearing dining areas, including tables, chairs, and equipment
  • Washing up and cleaning duties, including dishes, utensils, and equipment
  • Assisting with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and cooking meals
  • Operating a cashless till system and handling cash transactions

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a catering or food service environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service
  • Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies
