This is a senior role for a skilled Technician looking to take their career to the next level.

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to oversee the productivity and overall efficiencies of our busy workshop.

• Oversee the day-to-day activity of the workshop and ensure that jobs are allocated efficiently.
• Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure the correct equipment is being used for repairs.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including high-pressure situations, to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage a team of skilled Fitters, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
• Ensure compliance with DVSA standards for scheduled servicing and MOT preparation.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance vehicle standards.

We are looking for someone with:

• Extensive experience in a similar role within a HGV or Council Fleet workshop environment.
• Good commercial vehicle knowledge from a technical perspective.
• Excellent people skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong IT skills, including experience with vehicle transaction systems.
• Fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
