Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop, implement, and maintain HSBC's capital risk management framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III, Dodd-Frank) and internal risk appetite.
  2. Establish and maintain capital risk policies, procedures, and standards that guide capital management behaviours across HSBC.
  3. Continuously assess and enhance the framework to respond to evolving regulatory requirements, market conditions, and organisational strategies.
  4. Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) related to capital management and provide regular reports to senior leadership and the HSBC UK Board.
  5. Analyse scenario assessments and stress test results and develop recommendations for mitigating risks identified through these exercises and ensure that capital risk information is communicated effectively across the organization to support informed decision-making.
Requirements
  1. In-depth understanding of capital risk management principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Proficiency in risk management software and financial modelling tools.
