About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the post-contract commercial function for SSE's ICP/Private Networks electrical construction business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction on commercial matters, ensuring a rigorous and controlled environment is in place to effectively manage risk, cost, and profitability across our portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract & Commercial Management: Lead and manage the commercial process for large projects in the range of £5m - £80m TCV, working closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Project Review Board: Actively support the monthly review process, reviewing the overall commercial position for projects and highlighting trading risks to the management team.
  • Reporting: Responsible for commercial reporting tools to manage risk and profitability across the wider portfolio, as well as for individual larger projects.
  • Dispute Resolution: Experience in managing project disputes and a thorough understanding of dispute resolution processes.
