Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled LGV Driver C+E (Low Loader) to join our Tarmac Pave Team in Birtley, Tyne and Wear. This role involves transporting mobile plant from site to site for the North East Pave Business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport mobile plant from site to site, ensuring safe and legal journeys.
  • Load and unload plant and equipment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Plan journeys to ensure timely delivery of mobile plant equipment and materials.
  • Liaise with the Plant Coordinator and Gang Foreman to ensure smooth operations.
  • Comply with company standards and procedures, and maintain regular contact with the Transport Manager.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid LGV (HGV) Class 1 licence.
  • Have a valid Digital Tacho Card.
  • Hold a valid CPC Qualification Card.
  • Possess knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Be motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in your working approach.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
