Taxation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Tax Senior, you will play a key role in supporting a varied tax portfolio, working closely with senior team members to deliver exceptional service excellence.

• Support a diverse tax portfolio, collaborating with senior team members to ensure outstanding service delivery.
• Develop your commercial acumen, contributing to portfolio management, including fee forecasting and WIP reporting.
• Prepare corporate and personal tax computations with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and submit tax submissions with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns with minimal supervision.
• Support junior staff in their learning and development, identifying and addressing knowledge gaps.
• Build strong relationships with clients, proactively addressing queries and escalating to senior team members as needed.
• Contribute to the firm's growth by assisting with target setting, department budgeting, and identifying services that will add value to the portfolio.
• Stay up-to-date with taxation news and legislation.
• Champion your own professional development, undertaking regular training opportunities.

• CTA or ATT qualified or studying with previous tax experience within practice.
• At least two years of practice experience within taxation.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and third parties.
• Highly organized and able to manage own workload.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
• A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
• Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
