About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Major Projects division. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and experience in growing, mentoring, and leading teams. The role will involve providing pre-contract assistance, assisting in the production of weekly paperwork, ensuring accurate setting out of works, and mentoring apprentices, trainees, and graduates.

Responsibilities

  • Providing pre-contract assistance to produce PQQs, tenders, method statements, and programme advice
  • Assisting in the production of weekly paperwork in accordance with IMS requirements
  • Ensuring accurate setting out of works and providing clear instructions to the delivery team
  • Liaising with clients' representatives over clarifications and requests for information
  • Testing and QA schedules – liaising with FMC testing to ensure compliance against site specification
  • Mentoring apprentices, trainees, and graduates
  • Valuing engineering and buildability surveys within design processes

Requirements

  • Experience of civil engineering with either a SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in growing, mentoring, and leading teams
  • A degree in engineering, NVQ 4 or 5, HNC or HND
  • CSCS card
