We are seeking a skilled 7.5-tonne driver to join our team at Berry Recruitment, a leading logistics and staffing agency. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating a 7.5-tonne vehicle for deliveries and collections, adhering to all traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Operations: Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle for deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
- Logistics Management: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations to ensure a safe and efficient logistics operation.
- Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading as required, ensuring goods are handled with care and delivered in excellent condition.
- Customer Service: Deliver goods to customers on time and in excellent condition, providing a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including delivery notes and logbooks, to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) License and valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience driving 7.5-tonne vehicles.
- Skills: Good understanding of UK road laws and regulations, strong communication skills, and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
- Physical Demands: Physically fit and able to handle some manual lifting.
