Role Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Treasury Manager to join our team and play a key role in shaping the bank's Treasury operations and investment portfolio. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for optimizing our balance sheet management performance, managing liquidity and funding risks, and developing a strategy for dealing and hedging.
Key Responsibilities
- Balance Sheet Management: Proactively manage the bank's balance sheet, including optimizing the liquidity portfolio and managing exposures to liquidity, funding, interest rate, and capital risks.
- Liquidity and Investment Portfolio Management: Build and manage the bank's liquidity and investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with our risk management and investment strategies.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement a strategy and systems for dealing and hedging, ensuring effective management of risk and optimization of returns.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including ILAAP, ICAAP, and RRP processes, and develop and implement appropriate Treasury policies.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and develop modeling to support risk analytics for interest rate and capital risks, and work collaboratively with other teams to drive commercial growth and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Experience: A proven track record in Treasury/ALM, with a minimum of 5 years related experience, preferably in a bank treasurer or senior role in a larger bank.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, finance, or a related subject is preferred.
- Skills: Strong balance sheet management and risk management skills, with a deep understanding of the UK regulatory environment and relevant regulations.
