About this Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our z Mainframe Lab, a critical infrastructure team that supports Lloyds Banking Group's strategic transactional processing systems. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for driving strategic efforts to improve the agility and pace of operations and cost of our z Mainframe Lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 12 engineers, including personal development and day-to-day task & demand management.
  • Work with stakeholders to translate technical incidents into non-technical language.
  • Manage incident & change management, risk management & controls, and support service improvements.
  • Drive backlog prioritization of tasks and manage capacity within the team.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for the team and develop and lead engineering product evolution in the z Mainframe lab.
  • Support the Technical Product Owner and talent management, including supporting apprenticeship/internship & graduate hires as they develop.
