Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Control Room Coordinator to join our team. As a Control Room Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of patients, coordinating with our team of Mental Health Transport Assistants, and providing logistical support to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating Patient Transportation: Receive bookings, dispatch crews, and ensure the safe transportation of patients with mental health conditions.
- Logistical Support: Provide support to Mental Health Transport Assistants, internal and external stakeholders, and maintain consistency and compliance with current legislation, policies, and values.
- Communication and Coordination: Answer incoming telephone calls and emails, respond to queries, and maintain effective communication with the team and stakeholders.
- Data Management: Accurately record all information provided by clients, maintain proficiency in IT systems, and assist in the accurate recording of metrics for Handover and Control Room reporting.
- Incident Reporting and Investigation: Ensure accurate reporting and investigation of incidents within the CQC/IMF framework and statutory regulations.
- Training and Development: Support the induction and training of new Communications and Deployment Coordinators, facilitating their learning of best practice and providing constructive insights gained through experience.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate: Maintain an Enhanced DBS certificate from within the last 3 years.
- Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to remain calm under pressure, work as part of a team, and problem-solve efficiently.
- IT Skills: Good IT skills, including proficiency in command and control systems and mapping software.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
