Materials Planner

ConvaTec is a global medical products and technologies company, focused on solutions for the management of chronic conditions. We are seeking a skilled Materials Planner to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Schedule externally sourced raw material and packaging deliveries in line with MRP requirements, monitoring due date adherence and providing regular forecasts to suppliers.
• Control days on hand for purchased products within agreed optimum inventory levels.
• Work effectively with Suppliers, Global Sourcing teams, Supplier Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure timely resolution to the disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Maintain vendor master data, schedule agreements, and pricing in SAP.
• Assist Accounts Payable in the resolution of invoicing errors with suppliers.
• Monitor and report supplier delivery performance.
• Work with Master Data Associate and Planners to implement changes to materials and packaging.
• Control and minimize obsolete stock.
• Work as a team member in project teams for new product launches and operational improvements.
• Accurately and rapidly communicate information to internal customers.
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity and accountability.
• Participate in CI projects that will drive efficiencies for the business (VMI, Kanban, JIT).

• Materials scheduling experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
• Supplier management experience.
• Fully conversant with all aspects of the Purchasing modules of SAP, or similar ERP system.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Change management involving Systems, Processes, and People.

• Educated to GCSE standard - Maths and English.
• CIPS or similar Procurement certification is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is preferred.
