About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor - Cladding and Facades Systems to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As a specialist Construction Management Consultancy, we deal exclusively with Construction Management Jobs, Construction Management Vacancies, and Specification Management Positions within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a range of cladding and projects in the commercial and residential sectors, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Keep up-to-date with site progress, recording progress made, and transferring information onto payment applications.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly valuations following site measurements and work-in-progress reviews.
  • Monitor and control monthly application figures, ensuring relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints.
  • Review labour schedules and compare to actual progress on site, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters, ensuring fair and transparent processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers, and site staff.
  • Work on projects ranging from £50,000 to £3,000,000, requiring strong organizational and communication skills.
Requirements
  • 3 years of Quantity Surveying experience within the UK building envelope market sector.
  • Experience working with a range of cladding and faade systems, with a strong understanding of subcontracts (JCT Design & Build and NEC3).
  • Ability to work for a subcontractor dealing with multiple projects, with high levels of organization and enthusiasm.
  • Full UK driving license and a Quantity Surveying degree (desirable).
