Teaching Assistant Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic and inspiring individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants in Bridlington, Driffield, and Scarborough. As a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of different schools and with children of different ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in their education and promoting independence with life skills
  • Managing behaviour in line with school policies and working with the class teacher to implement academic or social interventions
  • Delivering creative and innovative lessons and using formative and summative assessment
  • Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care

Requirements:

  • Proactive, energetic, kind, and caring individual
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to go through the process
  • Fully checkable work history and a driving license or willingness to use public transport
  • Good mental and physical health and resilience and reliability
  • Ability to work with vulnerable and challenging pupils in a school environment

Safeguarding: This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and the successful applicant must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
