Job Title: Pre-Contract Manager

At Jackson Young Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Pre-Contract Manager to join our team. As a key member of our pre-construction team, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our luxury construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tendering & Bid Management: Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with client requirements.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring that all agreements are fair, transparent, and mitigate potential risks.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate potential risks during the pre-contract phase, developing strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure smooth project progression.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the pre-construction phase, understanding their vision, requirements, and expectations.
  • Cost Planning & Estimating: Collaborate with the estimating team to develop accurate cost plans and budgets, ensuring that all aspects of the project are financially viable and align with client expectations.
  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the projects requirements and timelines.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Extensive experience (7+ years) in pre-contract management within the super prime or luxury construction sector.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
