Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Design Lifting Solutions

Britlift, a leading provider of custom lifting equipment, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing innovative solutions for diverse industries, from construction beams to complex handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer custom lifting solutions to meet specific client needs.
  • Develop detailed plans, including 2D and 3D CAD models and drawing packs.
  • Ensure safety by preparing calculation reports to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manage production to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Design Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in engineering, preferably in lifting equipment design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a logical and creative approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SolidWorks FEA.
  • Familiarity with lifting equipment design and industry standards.
  • Leadership skills, with experience leading or mentoring a team.
