About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at ScottishPower. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering value to our customers.

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing commercial and contractual activities, including tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier management. You will work closely with our Category Managers to develop and implement procurement strategies that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial and contractual activities, including tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier management
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that meet business objectives
  • Work closely with Category Managers to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Provide advice and guidance on procurement best practices and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and delivery of procurement initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and processes
  • Experience in commercial and contractual activities, including tendering and contract negotiation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
