Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Worker to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing additional learning support to students who require it.
About the Role:This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a further education setting that is committed to providing high-quality education and support to its students. As a Learning Support Worker, you will be working closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual or group support to students in-class, focusing on their academic and personal needs.
- Offer out-of-class academic support to learners, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
- Support students via online platforms, such as Teams, to ensure they have access to learning resources and support.
- Attend team meetings, college briefings, and training events to stay up-to-date with best practices and policies.
- Work closely with Learning Support Worker Coordinators, Additional Learning Support Managers, and curriculum staff to refer new students who may require additional support.
- A good standard of general education, including Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent), or a willingness to upskill.
- Experience of working with young people aged 16-25 with additional needs, preferably in an educational setting.
