Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process from proposal to project close-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage the procurement lifecycle, including procurement package definition, contract administration, and close-out.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient use of procurement management systems and document management systems.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to the Project Manager on procurement progress and issues.
  • Identify and mitigate potential problems, delays, or slippage, and implement corrective measures to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination on procurement matters.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement or a related field in a high-paced environment.
  • Experience in the construction, mechanical, and electrical trades.
  • Extensive experience in managing material orders and procurement processes.
