Role of Risk Engineering

Focus on Liquidity Risk Applications

The Liquidity Risk Applications role within Risk Engineering seeks individuals who are enthusiastic about digital transformation, operational efficiency through automation, and the development of scalable and reliable applications. This position involves working with various reporting applications that generate critical data for internal risk management and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in data warehousing and analytics is essential due to the emphasis on data-driven reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in a fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to liquidity management across the firm.
  • Develop innovative solutions utilizing advanced technologies to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Analyze business requirements to facilitate process workflows, data needs, and specifications for implementation.
  • Create technical specifications, design documents, testing strategies, and implementation plans based on business needs.
  • Oversee the complete systems development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, user acceptance testing, and maintenance.
  • Foster strong relationships with business partners and frontline risk managers.
  • Lead a team of skilled software engineers dedicated to identifying patterns and creating unified solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a risk technology team within a financial institution, with a preference for liquidity risk technology experience.
  • Familiarity with major relational or object-oriented databases.
  • Solid background in software development, including a strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, software design, and core programming principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, stakeholders, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in various programming languages.
  • Willingness to work with proprietary technologies.
  • Understanding of computing resources and the ability to analyze performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and experience managing projects from inception to completion.
