We are seeking a highly skilled Hygiene Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day site hygiene functions at Billington Foods.
Key Responsibilities- Drive a health and safety culture within the department, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Train and supervise cleaning operatives to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Plan and coordinate cleaning tasks to ensure correct frequencies and adherence to schedules.
- Monitor and inspect cleaning standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Hygiene Manager to control departmental spends and optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure due diligence is maintained in areas of food safety, quality, and legislation, taking prompt action in the event of any breaches or potential breaches.
- COSHH certification
- Good communication and IT skills
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their applications
- Ability to meet dedicated cleaning slots and perform stock taking and ordering tasks
- Desirable: HACCP Awareness training, audit experience, basic micro knowledge, and allergen cleaning regimes
