About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Front of House team at Tesco. As a key member of our café team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve customers quickly, efficiently, and with care, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer complaints and relay information to the Café Manager, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain food freshness by following first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation, ensuring that our products are always of the highest quality.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that our café meets the highest standards.
  • Accept deliveries and handle the safe storage of food, ensuring that our products are stored and handled correctly.
  • Be aware of and follow all operational policies and procedures, ensuring that our café runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Clear and sanitize tables, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers.
  • Maintain our standards and ensure that all food products are available, ensuring that our customers have a wide range of options to choose from.
  • Stay up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives, ensuring that you are always aware of the latest developments.
  • Know our café's menu inside out, ensuring that food is served the way it's intended and that our customers receive the best possible experience.
  • Prepare hot and cold drinks for customers, ensuring that they are always served with a smile.

Requirements

  • A commitment to excellent customer service, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety standards, ensuring that our café meets the highest standards.
  • The ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment, ensuring that our café runs smoothly and efficiently.
