Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving prospecting and opportunity qualification activities, educating customers on our solutions, and developing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and Opportunity Qualification
    • Engage with prospects through multiple mediums, including webinars, trade shows, and direct contact events.
    • Work independently to qualify new leads and progress assigned opportunities.
  • Customer Education
    • Lead demonstrations and presentations of our solutions to prospects.
    • Explore customer challenges and business pains to demonstrate the value of our solutions.
  • New Business Development
    • Help qualify new leads and progress assigned opportunities.
    • Develop new business opportunities through consultative selling and relationship-building.
  • External Representation
    • Competently describe Kainos and its offerings to prospects.
    • Formally present to prospects and customers in a manner that positions Kainos as a professional and market-leading supplier.
  • Trust Building
    • Utilize a consultative selling approach to build trust with prospects.
    • Take the time to properly understand customer challenges and opportunities.
  • Target Achievement
    • Deliver and exceed quarterly opportunity and revenue team targets.
    • Produce a high-quality pipeline focused on net new business and add-on business to customers.
  • Strategic Alignment
    • Work closely with the Marketing team and Territory Managers to create and execute demand generation for identified and prioritized strategic account lists.
    • Develop and execute plans to drive sales growth and revenue expansion.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Be an integral part of a high-performing team.
    • Share skills and experiences with peers to lift the culture and overall effectiveness of the team.

Requirements

  • Industry Experience
    • Significant experience in the HCM industry and a detailed understanding of the HCM market.
  • Sales Engineering Experience
    • Prior experience in sales engineering or solution consulting.
    • Strong knowledge of consultative selling methodologies.
  • Commercial Awareness
    • Strong commercial awareness and sound understanding of sales and marketing.
  • Communication Skills
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
    • Ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Networking Skills
    • Good networking skills and the ability to build strong and appropriate relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Competitive Environment
    • Ability to operate in a highly competitive environment.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Presentation Skills
    • Experience in creating compelling presentation decks.
  • Software Demonstration
    • Previous experience of software demonstration.
