About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our team at IES Ltd. as a Symfony Expert. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing multiple web applications, including our company website and software licensing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop multiple web applications, including our company website and software licensing systems.
  • Liaise with our IT, QA & DevOps teams to ensure the health and continued availability of our systems.
  • Monitor, pen-test, and fix any issues found.
  • Update legacy web applications to current PHP standards.
Requirements
  • Several years' experience in a responsible development role with Symfony.
  • Experience writing clean, modern PHP, including event-driven programming and dependency injection.
  • PHP 8+ and Symfony Framework expertise.
  • Doctrine ORM and SQL (MySQL, MariaDB, or Postgres) skills.
  • VCS (e.g., Git or Perforce) experience.
Desirable Skills
  • Creation and use of REST APIs.
  • Linux (Debian/Ubuntu-based systems preferred) and Apache web server (or NGINX) expertise.
  • React JS and Pimcore CMS (Symfony-based) skills.
  • Microsoft Azure experience.
