Job Title: Chief Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at MBDA UK Ltd. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our equipment team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project and functional workloads to ensure timely completion
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency
  • Represent the manufacturing team at various forums and meetings
  • Responsible for team management, including sickness and absence, appraisals, holidays, workload, dynamic working arrangements, and individual output
Requirements:
  • Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21
  • Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • BEng in relevant Engineering Degree
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with a proven track record of creating and maintaining high-performing teams
  • Recognised point of contact for manufacturing enquiries through the deployed team
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and commitment to meeting delivery milestones
  • Ability to interpret design drawings and produce manufacturing build instructions
  • Confident in people leadership and holding effective team and individual discussions
