Job Summary

We are seeking a Weighbridge Operator to join our team at our Tewkesbury depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all vehicles entering and exiting the depot, weighing each load, and recording data accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all vehicles entering and exiting the depot, ensuring accurate weighing and recording of data.
  • Ensure all vehicles have the correct fully completed paperwork.
  • Record and calculate inputs and outputs for the site.
  • Communicate with yard and transfer shed personnel via radio.
  • Produce weighbridge tickets and complete waste transfer notes.
  • Awareness of gross/tare/nett weights of vehicles to ensure compliance with legal weight limits.
  • Take payments for disposal/collections as required.
  • Perform general site administration and deal with customer enquiries.
  • Ensure all visitors have the correct PPE before entering the site.

Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize workloads and work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work Saturday mornings on a rota basis if required.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision.
  • Ability to liaise with drivers in a professional manner.
  • A full, UK driving licence.
  • Great attention to accuracy and detail.
