Salary: £18.62/hr - £20.31/hr (depending on experience)

Location: BSC Education Limited

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Job Description

Overview:

As an English Language Instructor at BSC Education Limited, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality English language instruction to students of all ages and levels. You will work closely with the teaching team, management, and student experience team to ensure students receive the guidance and feedback they need to succeed.

Duties:

  • Teaching: Teach a wide range of English language courses, clubs, and workshops to students of all ages and levels in accordance with the set curricula and syllabi.
  • Lesson Planning: Ensure students are aware of course and lesson learning outcomes by planning collaboratively and displaying schemes of work/weekly plans in the classroom.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessment and adapting materials and lesson content accordingly.
  • Student Support: Ensure all students receive the designated number of tutorials and provide support to students on an individual basis through their academic journey.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Cooperate with the teaching team, management, and student experience team to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience for students.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Actively participate in arrangements for future training and professional development as a teacher and stay up-to-date with industry developments, new resources, methods, and technology.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Cambridge CELTA/DELTA or industry equivalent and a degree or alternative relevant experience.
  • Experience: Experience in EFL teaching in the UK or abroad, with a good understanding of current industry developments.
  • Skills: Ability to deliver lessons to TEFLI/TEFLQ standards, comfortable using digital technology in the classroom, and knowledge of another language at B1 or higher.

Desired Skills:

  • Curriculum Design: Experience in curriculum/syllabus design and/or materials writing.
  • Subject Expertise: Expertise in another subject or industry such as business, technology, hospitality, etc.
