Ultimate Banking is seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager to join their team. As an Underwriting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end mortgage processing and underwriting teams, ensuring all loans are written within the company's risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the mortgage processing teams to deliver an excellent customer journey.
- Act as a senior underwriter, approving Buy to Let loans within mandate and carrying out 2nd case reviews on loans underwritten by the team.
- Work with the compliance team to monitor and develop oversight controls to ensure consistent delivery of good outcomes for customers.
- Deal with and action post-offer queries from the outsourcing servicing partner.
- Manage third-party relationships to ensure service levels, controls, and governance are maintained.
- Previous management/team leadership experience.
- A current or recently held BTL mortgage mandate, alongside experience of manual underwriting BTL complex mortgage applications (inc. LYD company, HMO, Multi Let properties).
