About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team as an Ostomy Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for educating and supporting healthcare professionals on the clinical aspects of ostomy care, from diagnosis to across the continuum of care. Your expertise will help identify gaps in knowledge and meet the needs of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver educational programs for healthcare professionals on ostomy care, including case studies and research
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide clinical advice and support
  • Work closely with the marketing team to produce educational materials and ensure education strategy alignment
  • Identify and act upon business opportunities to achieve objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and advocates
  • Conduct audits and gather insights for sales and marketing teams
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in ostomy care

Requirements:

  • Qualified Nurse RGN (essential)
  • Proven experience in stoma care or colorectal care (essential)
  • Commercial experience highly desirable
  • Ability to identify and act upon business opportunities to achieve objectives
  • Desirable both hospital and community experience
  • Specialist knowledge of Ostomy products
  • Experience or understanding of Dispensing Appliance Contractors and their role (DACs)
  • Experience of working with a range of clinicians from Colorectal and Stoma nurses, colorectal Consultants, continence advisors, district teams, pharmacists, and nurses
  • Strong presenter and communicator
  • Experience of delivering training and education
