Job Summary:

Turner & Lovell Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-voltage substation projects across the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering, construction, and commissioning of 400kV, 275kV, and 132kV substation infrastructure for Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage two sites concurrently, focusing on the mechanical and electrical phases of renewable energy projects.
  • Lead client interface activities and ensure deliverables meet engineering, construction, installation, commissioning, and commercial requirements.
  • Maintain a high standard of Health and Safety throughout the project duration, collaborating with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department as needed.
  • Provide stakeholder and subcontractor management, communicating detailed project updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee project planning to ensure robust delivery programs are managed effectively.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams for new project bids and ensure contractual agreements are adhered to or mitigated throughout the project.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience within the electrical infrastructure sector.
  • Qualified to HNC/ Degree Level in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management.
  • Experience working as a project manager on UK substation projects with a value of +£15m (e.g., 132kV, 275kV, 400kV).
  • Willingness to commute to site regularly, estimated 2-3 days on site.
  • Project Management-related qualification or training is desirable (APM, PRINCE2, or PMI).
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, commercial management, and client interfacing, subcontractor management.
