Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Inspection Engineer to join our team at Risktec Solutions Ltd. As an Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for the in-service inspection of pressurised equipment, tanks, and piping systems to meet regulatory and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and review Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Identify plant preparation requirements from the WSE and coordinate with clients to ensure smooth inspection processes.
  3. Conduct thorough examinations of equipment in accordance with the WSE, using techniques such as NDT ultrasonic thickness checks and magnetic particle & dye penetrant flaw detection.
  4. Coordinate with third-party NDT providers for extensive requirements or specialist techniques.
  5. Prepare clear and concise written reports supported by photographs, detailing inspection findings and recommendations.
  6. Assess deterioration and review design calculations to determine the extent of defects.
  7. Coordinate repairs and participate in Risk Based Inspection studies to ensure the integrity of equipment.
Requirements

Education: HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience & Skills: Mechanical Engineering background, understanding of engineering principles, excellent written and verbal communication, eye for detail, ability to accurately follow procedures, courage to make (and defend) difficult decisions, good interpersonal skills, and the capability to work independently.
