Role Overview

We are actively seeking a Senior Planner to perform responsibilities within our Infrastructure Project Controls team, based in Birmingham, and to support projects in the rail, airports, highways, water, and utilities sectors. This role presents an excellent opportunity to join our Infrastructure division, which encompasses a diverse array of clients and intriguing projects.

The Senior Planner will collaborate with our Project Controls team on high-profile infrastructure initiatives, facilitating coordination across various project control functions, including Planning, Risk Management, Change Management, and Cost Control. This may involve working as part of a larger team or serving as the primary day-to-day liaison with the client. Previous experience in a project controls setting within the infrastructure sector (Rail, Airports, Highways, Water/Utilities) is essential, along with expertise in at least one of the following areas: Programme Controls Management, Earned Value Management (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, Project Controls, or PMO.

Qualifications

Candidates should ideally possess a degree and have relevant industry and sector experience. Familiarity with tools such as Oracle Primavera, MS Project, Excel, or PRISM (Cost Management System) is also required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with a commitment to adhering to documented processes and governance. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to innovate creatively to address the challenges posed by a dynamic project environment.
