Job Summary
Page Personnel Finance is seeking an experienced Operational Finance Manager to join their team on a 9-12 month interim contract. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong transactional experience and leadership skills.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in the day-to-day transactional side of the finance function, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Key responsibilities will include:
- Transaction Processing: Ensure purchase orders are placed and customer invoices are raised, and accurate recording of invoices and expenses.
- Financial Management: Ensure a tidy payables ledger with minimum debit balance and unallocated cash, and prepare and process payment runs.
- Bank Reconciliation: Daily posting and reconciliation of bank transactions.
- Cash Flow Management: Cash flow forecasting, reviewed with the CFO, and liaison with other areas of the business to discuss cash in/cash out/outstanding balances.
- Leadership: Train team members and step in to support during particularly busy periods.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Previous experience in a similar position, with strong transactional finance experience.
- Ideal experience in line management and strong leadership skills.
- Strong accounting software skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
