English Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and passionate English Teacher to provide maternity cover at one of our partner Secondary Academies in Wakefield. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning for pupils across the KS3/4 English Curriculum.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong subject knowledge, confidence in instilling positive behaviour management, and a commitment to ensuring student progression. You will join a supportive staff team focused on delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.

We welcome applications from both experienced Teachers and ECTs, offering a competitive daily rate of up to £230 depending on experience. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic English Teacher looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning for pupils across the KS3/4 English Curriculum
  • Instil positive behaviour management and ensure student progression
  • Work collaboratively with the department to meet the needs of all students
  • Contribute to the development of engaging lessons and curriculum resources
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum
  • Confidence in behaviour management and student progression
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to Work in the UK
