Nursery Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team at a reputable nursery in Birkenhead. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for children aged 6 months to 5 years.

Your Role: As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate activities, supporting personal care needs, assisting with mealtimes, and fostering a positive atmosphere. You will work collaboratively with our experienced staff to create an enriching environment that promotes learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Monitor and record children's progress and development, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic environment at all times, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Support children's emotional well-being, providing comfort and reassurance when needed.
  • Contribute to the creation of a stimulating learning space, working collaboratively with the team to design and implement engaging activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Experience in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and its application in practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for early childhood development and a commitment to delivering high-quality care and education.

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. We offer a competitive salary of £12.90 per hour, plus opportunities for professional development and career growth.
