About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior WordPress Developer to join our team at Fishtank Agency | B Corp™. As a key member of our development team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, user-centric websites that exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Website Development: Translate design mockups into responsive and interactive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers and project managers to ensure website features and functionalities are successfully implemented.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  • Optimization: Optimise websites for speed, performance, and search engine optimisation (SEO).
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure seamless user experiences across various browsers and devices.
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in web development, proposing innovative solutions to enhance our projects.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and discussions, providing technical insights and contributing to project planning and strategy.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist in quality assurance and user acceptance testing to identify and address bugs or issues before deployment.
  • Integration: Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
  • Website Maintenance: Maintain and update existing websites, implementing new features and enhancements as required.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in WordPress development, ideally in an agency environment.
  • Skills: Experience developing and delivering custom WordPress themes, good understanding of custom post types, taxonomies, and general WordPress architecture, custom Gutenberg Blocks, ACF Pro, WooCommerce, PHP, HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript, Node/NPM, understanding of responsive development between browsers and operating systems, Mysql and database experience, Github/Version control experience, understanding of JSON/REST API's, and a working knowledge of the Adobe Suite/Sketch/Figma.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, good communication skills, and a passion for all things web development-related.
